The free zones in the UAE (for example DIFC, DMCC or ADGM) have their own authorities that regulate labour matters within the free zone. These authorities typically have their own employment regulations, visa and immigration procedures, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Employers operating within a free zone must comply with the labour regulations and procedures established by the free zone authority.
